Description: We would like help writing a book to chart the experiences, lessons, etc. from having a terminally ill child. I would like to think of the project as sort of an inverse of Randy Pausch's The Last Lecture.

Here is a little more information about us and our project. We are two college educated professionals with a terminally ill 2 year old daughter. She has a rare genetic disorder currently affecting a total of three children in the world that we know of.

Our goal for this book is to relay our thoughts, emotions, lessons, etc. The narrowest definition of our audience would be other parents and family members of a special needs or terminally ill child. We would also like it to be broad enough to act as a motivational/insight book to a larger audience.

We are currently working on a rough outline of subjects we would like to talk about. I am estimating that the final work will come in around 50,000 words. We are picturing the relationship with the writer as a collaborative effort where we are able to write our thoughts (or record them) and the writer is able to turn it into a narrative. Just a warning, obviously, this is our first run at a project like this so I’m sure they’ll be hiccups on our end but there is no lack of desire for us to finish this project just the time to compose it.
